Allison at Slate Hair Salon is fantastic! She did an amazing job cutting my hair. I have long black hair, and she gave me the perfect cut with beautiful shape and just the right amount of style while still keeping the length I wanted. She really listened to what I was looking for and was very thoughtful with the cut. My hair feels lighter, healthier, and looks great. Reyna is truly amazing! My sister absolutely loves her new hair color — it’s the most satisfied she’s ever been with her hair. The color looks beautiful and natural, and her hair actually feels healthier than before. Reyna is very professional, patient, and really listens to what you want. I’m so glad we found her and I’ll definitely be recommending her to friends and family. Highly recommend!

I got my haircut by Allison and she did a great job. She really took her time with my hair and was very meticulous with it. I highly recommend her, and would have her cut my hair again.

Highly recommend! The facilities are clean and modern. We followed Allison here from Hyun Hair Studio (check out their reviews for her work and pics) in Walnut and before that from Jeunesse Hair in Fullerton. She does women’s and men’s cut and perms. She will look at your inspo pics and tell you what is reasonable and realistic for your hair and face. She is meticulously with the cut! Just when you think she’s done, she’ll check and double and triple check. My teen and young adult sons especially love to go to her for their K-pop/kdrama style perms and cuts! She is very focused on hair and scalp health and will give you the best hair wash. Like a hair spa! She shampooed my hair 3x!!! She will also give you great styling advice. Update: we just got back from Korea and one of my sons got a horrible perm and haircut. She was able to fix the cut and also help with the scalp damage he got from the perm. She recommended shampoo and conditioner for scalp health and had some in stock for purchase. She has Korean hair care which I love!

It’s my first time at Slate but the place is very well decorated, spacious, and neat. I came here by recommendation of Reyna, who I’ve been a client of for almost 3 years and who has recently moved to this salon. Color, cut, hair treatments, styling. She does it all. For my visit, I got a wash and cut, with a deep conditioning treatment for my lengths. When I tell you, the girl is meticulous…Please, take my word. My favorite thing about getting my hair done by Reyna is that she will take the time to make sure you aren’t leaving the salon with a hair out of place. If you do plan on coming to here, please ask to schedule an appointment with Reyna. 10/10 will coming back.
